TeamClash
Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 16, 2026
At a Glance
This policy explains what information TeamClash collects, how we use and share it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have. The highlights:
- We collect only what we need to run a youth-soccer team app: your email, the content you post, and basic technical data.
- We show no third-party ads, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- You choose the audience of every post: public, team, followers, or only you.
- Sign-in is passwordless — we email you a one-time code, so we never store a password for you.
- You can delete your account yourself, in the app, at any time.
- Questions or requests: [email protected].
The full policy below has the details. Each section starts with the question it answers.
What Does This Policy Cover?
TeamClash is a youth-soccer team app operated by AI Battle, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("TeamClash," "we," "us," or "our"). The app is currently available on iOS, with an Android version planned. This policy covers the TeamClash app and the backend services that power it. It applies whether you use TeamClash with an account or as a guest.
What Information Do We Collect?
What we collect depends on how you use TeamClash. A guest browsing ratings gives us far less than a team manager running a roster. Here is everything we collect, grouped by where it comes from.
Information you give us
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, a display name, and an optional profile photo. Sign-in is passwordless: we email you a one-time code, so we never create or store a password for you. You can also use TeamClash as a guest without creating an account.
- Birth date. When you create an account, we ask for a birth date (month and year) to check your age; of that answer we retain only the birth year.
- Terms acceptance. When you create an account, we record which version of our Terms you accepted and the time you accepted it, as evidence of your agreement.
- Content you create. Posts, comments, chat messages, photos and videos (including team media and highlight clips), and team and roster details you enter in the app.
- Media-sharing consent records. Team rosters can record whether a player's family has said that photos and videos of that player may be shared ("allowed," "declined," or "not confirmed"), along with who recorded the answer and when. This is entered by the player's family or by team staff based on what the family communicated; we store it as provided and do not independently verify it.
- Coach verification (optional). If you choose to verify your coaching credentials, we use your coaching-license email address once to send a verification code, and we store your verified status.
- Emails you send us. If you email support, or forward a match-video email (for example, from Veo) to a TeamClash address so we can attach the video to a game, we receive that email — your email address and its contents — and use it to respond, to attach the video, and to credit any related in-app reward.
Information we collect automatically
- Push token. A device push-notification token, only if you enable notifications.
- Security logs. Your IP address and basic request logs, used for security and rate limiting.
- Diagnostics. Crash and diagnostic data that helps us find and fix problems.
Information we receive from other sources
- Purchase information. If you subscribe, we receive your subscription entitlement status and store transaction identifiers from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google process payment; we never see or store your full payment card details.
- Declared age range from Apple. On supported iOS versions, when you create an account we ask Apple whether the account holder's declared age range meets our minimum age. We use Apple's answer only for that check at sign-up; we do not store it and it never reaches our servers.
- Sports data. Game results, schedules, standings, team names, and rosters, partly derived from publicly available youth-league sources. This can include player names, birth years, and jersey numbers of minors as published by their leagues. Team ratings shown in the app are our own statistical estimates computed from these results.
How Do We Use Your Information?
We use the information above for a short list of purposes, and nothing else:
- To run the app — provide, maintain, and improve TeamClash, and sync your teams, chats, and content across your devices.
- To handle your subscription — validate your subscription entitlement with the app store.
- To reach you — send transactional email, such as your one-time sign-in codes, and push notifications you have enabled.
- To keep the community safe — content moderation, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.
- To meet our legal obligations — such as tax and accounting rules for purchase records.
Do We Show Ads, Track You, or Sell Your Data?
No, no, and no. We do not show third-party advertising, we do not sell your personal information, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. TeamClash is funded by Pro subscriptions rather than advertising, so we have no reason to build advertising profiles of you. We do not use Apple's ad-tracking framework, so the app will never ask you for cross-app tracking permission.
How Is Your Information Shared?
What other users can see
- Audience controls. When you post, you pick who can see it: public, your team, your followers, or only you. Chat works differently: a direct message is visible only to you and the one person you sent it to, and a message in a team or group chat is visible to the members of that conversation.
- Profile basics. Your display name and profile photo appear next to your posts and messages for the audience you chose.
- Media-sharing consent status. A roster player's recorded consent status is visible to members of that player's team. Only the player's family and team staff can change it.
What our moderation team can see
Reporting content sends a copy of it to us. When you report a post, comment, or chat message, our moderation team reviews it in an internal moderation queue. For a reported chat message, we save a copy of that message onto the report at the moment you report it — its text, any attached photo or video, who sent it, and when — so that the report can still be reviewed if the message is deleted afterwards. This applies to direct messages as well as team and group chats: a message you report becomes visible to our reviewers even though the conversation itself is private to the people in it.
Companies that work for us
We share data with service providers that help us operate TeamClash — they are listed in the next section. Each provider is contractually required to protect your information to a standard consistent with this policy and may use it only to provide services to us — not for its own purposes.
Legal reasons
We may disclose information when required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the public.
Business transfers
If AI Battle, Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. This Privacy Policy will continue to apply, and we will notify you of any material change in how your information is handled.
Who Are Our Service Providers?
We use the following service providers to run TeamClash:
- Apple and Google — app distribution and payment processing;
- DigitalOcean — cloud hosting in the United States;
- Cloudflare — content delivery, media storage, and routing of emails you forward to TeamClash addresses;
- Backblaze — encrypted backups;
- Resend — transactional email delivery (for example, sign-in codes);
- Expo — push-notification delivery;
- Sentry — error and crash reporting for the app and our backend; we turn off its default collection of personal data;
- Veo — optional match-video integration, used only when a team connects its Veo footage.
This is the complete list. If we add a provider that handles personal data, we will update this policy.
What About Children's Privacy?
TeamClash is intended for users 13 and older — coaches, parents, and team managers. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. We ask for a birth date (month and year) when an account is created and decline registration for anyone under 13; of that answer we retain only the birth year. Roster and results data about youth players comes from information published by their leagues or entered by their adult team managers, not from the children themselves. If we learn that we have collected personal information directly from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
If you are a parent or guardian and would like your child's roster information removed from TeamClash, email us at [email protected] and we will respond promptly.
How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep personal data only as long as your account is active or as needed for the purposes described in this policy. When we decide how long a category of data lives, we ask:
- Is it needed to run your account? Your profile, content, and teams stay while your account exists, and are removed when you delete the account.
- Does the law require us to keep it? Some records, such as purchase records and security logs, are retained for a limited period as required by law or for fraud prevention.
- Is it personal data at all? Sports results derived from publicly available league sources (such as game scores and standings) are not personal account data and are not deleted by account deletion.
What Happens When You Delete Content or Your Account?
You can delete individual posts, photos, and messages in the app at any time, and you can delete your entire account from the Account screen — no email or phone call required. Here is what happens next:
- Right away, deleted content stops being visible to other users, and a deleted account stops working — your profile and posts disappear from the app for everyone.
- For 30 days after account deletion, you can change your mind: signing in again with your email address restores the account and the content that came with it.
- After those 30 days, the account can no longer be restored, and we permanently erase your personal data from our production systems.
- For up to 90 days, residual copies may remain in our encrypted backups until those backups are cycled out. Backup copies are not visible in the app and are used only for disaster recovery.
- Beyond that, we keep only the limited records described in the retention section above — for example, purchase records the law requires — and only for as long as that purpose requires.
One exception: preservation. We may keep content or account data beyond the periods described above where we need it to meet a legal obligation, to comply with a legal hold or preservation request, or to conduct or support a safety investigation — for example, material reported as child sexual abuse material, which the law requires us to preserve and report. Preserved data is not visible in the app, and we keep it only for as long as that purpose requires.
How Do We Protect Your Information?
We protect your information with encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted backups, and access controls that limit who can reach production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard measures.
To help keep children safe, images served through TeamClash are automatically checked against industry hash databases of known child sexual abuse material. Matched content is blocked, and we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as required by law.
What Rights and Choices Do You Have?
You can request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of your personal information by emailing [email protected]. You may also ask us to restrict, or object to, certain processing of your information. We will verify your request, respond within the time required by applicable law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
You are also in control of ongoing choices in the app:
- Push notifications are optional. You can turn them off at any time in your device settings, and we will stop using your push token;
- Content audience is chosen per post — public, team, followers, or private — and you can edit or delete your content at any time;
- Account deletion is available in-app from the Account screen, as described above.
California residents. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no need for an opt-out. California residents may exercise the rights described above under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the rights to know, delete, and correct, by emailing [email protected]. We will confirm receipt of a verified California request and respond within 45 days (with an extension of up to 45 more days where the law allows, in which case we will tell you). You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we will verify the agent's authority before acting on it. Because we do not sell or share personal information and do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, our services do not respond differently to browser "Do Not Track" or Global Privacy Control signals — every user already receives the protection those signals request.
Washington residents. TeamClash does not collect consumer health data as defined by the Washington My Health My Data Act. We honor the access, correction, and deletion rights described above for all users, including Washington residents.
Where Is Your Information Processed?
TeamClash is operated from the United States, and your data is processed in the United States. If you use the app from outside the US, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.
How Will You Know When This Policy Changes?
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date, so you can always see when it last changed. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app or by email before it takes effect, so you have a chance to review it — and to delete your account first if you disagree.
